UK: David Cameron Declares War on Islamic Extremism

Prime Minister David Cameron has outlined a new five-year plan to fight Islamic extremism in Britain.

The strategy — the specifics of which will be unveiled in the coming months — rests on four pillars: challenging the ideology of Islamism; confronting those who promote Islamic extremism; encouraging moderate Muslims to speak up and be heard; and improving Muslim integration.

Cameron, however, has not offered a precise definition of “extremism,” and it remains unclear how his government will balance efforts to silence Islamic extremists with the right to free speech.

One OK speech does not change my view, Cameron is about as trustworthy as… well a politician.

Cameron has also spoken about England’s Christian character on several occasions. I fear it’s all too little too late and he faces what is probably insurmountable opposition to these ideas. Nonetheless I have to give him some credit.

Does he oppose violent extremism promoted and demonstrated by the prophet of Islam?

This isn’t a hypothetical question, it’s a theological one. If he doesn’t oppose it, then he accepts that Muhammad was the perfect man, and an example for all Muslims to emulate. If he does oppose Muhammad’s message and example he will face significantly more resistance, but ultimately the truth will win out.

I’m afraid he doesn’t have the courage to call out a fake dead prophet, and as a result, I doubt he will make any significant progress countering this scourge.

    • Exactly, Islam deserves no more respect as a faith than any other violent cult.

What’s very telling is that he’s trying not to upset those 99.999999999999999999999% peaceful muslims that will riot and torch London if provoked.
Plus, the fact that he wants to encourage the Moderates to come forward and speak up means that they are liars when they say they have no forum to speak up.
It’s BS, they are making a free will choice to stay silent so ISIS and terrorists will take it as a tacit approval to continue Allah’s wars for the global caliphate.
The normal fall back position for moderates is to say that they shouldn’t have to denounce the islamic terrorists that hijacked their faith because it have NOTHING to do with islam.

The best strategy to improve assimilation is to end the inflow of newbies from abroad. Continued immigration is poison, period.

Actions alone count. Words without action are meaningless.

Let Muslims shed themselves of their inherently violent and seditious Islam from far far away. There is no moderate Islam. Pretending otherwise is worse than a fool’s errand, it is lethal.

Advised by “moderate muslims” he’ll come to the conclusion that islamic extremism is caused by islamophobia, and promise measures against islamophobes.
