Charges Against Muslim Murderer of Coptic Christian Dropped; Dubious Claim of ‘Mental Illness’ Cited

Upper Egypt prosecutors are dropping all charges against a gunmen that murdered a Christian man, claiming the assailant is mentally unfit to stand trial.

According to some, this is a common tactic in predominately Muslim countries where legal officials work in concert with government authorities to avoid prosecution of those that are persecuting the Christian minority.

I have seen this “justice model” used elsewhere and not in the ME. Indeed, one could argue that it applies to the interwebs, the way commentators can “gang up” against someone, then engage in a smear/slimefest. We have all seen it happen. Even here. Perhaps even yesterday. I am simply illustrating a point, BCF. it is how the implementation of this model works – even on the interwebs. We cannot change human nature. Christian theology dictates that we try to support those who overengage in baser human instincts with love and understanding. That’s what I try to do. Sometimes, it’s very hard to do. But I will keep on trying. It’s what Christians do.

I recently had a lefty try and tell me that “Christian Genocide” in the ME was Christians killing everyone else. I tried to show them the light but they said they only got their news from a trusted source – CBC.

There are also none so blind that believe that Fox News is as right wing as they say it is.

Truth be told brother I’ve never watched Fox News.

And neither have many of those who think it’s the bogeyman.
They just hear, Fox is bad, m’kay.

To give truth to him who loves it not, only gives him more bountiful ammunition for misinterpretation.
