Isil stands for Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. Does David Cameron not realise this?

It is very easy to make David Cameron and the Scottish Nationalist Party look ridiculous. But as every soldier and journalist knows, just because a target is easy doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hit it. The attempt by supposedly respectable politicians to use trickery and outright lies to rebrand Islamic State as a state that has nothing to with Islam is too good to miss.

I have yet to read a better description of Cameron that the one provided by Mark Steyn: “That ghastly squish”.

OFF-TOPIC I tweeted Ann three weeks ago to advise her to increase her security; she should really move out of L.A. and go to Wyoming with a bunch of volunteer special forces. She could have been lynched today:

It’s hard to tell sometimes whether politicians are really such damn fools or they just think their constituents are.

The situation in erstwhile Albion is without precedent; the top brass must execute a putsch at once and arrest nearly the entire polity followed by swift trials and even swifter executions! The Royal Family must also put in chains as they are some of the most strident and zealous advocates of giving away the store to the invading hordes!×700.jpg

Do you see how much taller Cameron is than Morsi?
That’s because the English can afford to eat and the Egyptians can’t.
      I wonder why that is.

  • Calling ISIS ISIL is still wrong because it means it has a claim to Israel.

The left et al need euphemisms and other deflections. Everyone knows what the ‘I’ stands for.

ISIS is a better description because ISIS is a pagan Egyptian Goddess and since the Kaaba in Mecca is pagan in origin it symbolizes the pagan history Islam has as well as mocks them.

      • Interesting.

I keep encountering people who object to that concept and insist that islam is an Abrahamic religion. I counter that “cribbing” Abrahamic religious texts to create a new faith does not make the resulting faith Abrahamic. I positively loathe people who like to argue that the sky might look blue but is really magenta. Stupid people saying stupid things…

I think the connection might be through Ishmael, Abe’s first son, born to Hagar, the Egyptian. Ishmael is the father of the Arabs, but not all Arabs adopted Islam.

And all the Arabs who didn’t were killed.

To a politician ISIL stands for “I say I lie”, and if that is a lie, then I tell the truth, but if I tell the truth, then I lie…..

If you want a straight answer you might have a better chance out of a fast talking used car saleman.
