Cairo: Police kill 9 Muslim Brotherhood members – Muslim Brotherhood Calls for Egypt ‘Rebellion’

Cairo – An Egyptian police raid on an apartment in Cairo killed nine wanted men, including senior Muslim Brotherhood leader Nasser al-Houfi, on Wednesday, security officials and the Brotherhood said.

The raid in the 6th of October district came as security forces were engaged in fierce fighting with Islamic State group jihadists in the Sinai Peninsula, in which at least 70 soldiers and civilians, have been killed.

Security officials said the nine “terrorists” killed in the capital were wanted for vandalism and violence.

Muslim Brotherhood Calls for Egypt ‘Rebellion’

The Muslim Brotherhood says its leaders killed in a Cairo apartment were murdered in “in cold blood,” calling for a rebellion against President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, who it calls a “butcher.”

“Come out in rebellion and in defense of your country, yourselves and your children,” it said in a statement issued in English Wednesday. “Destroy the citadels of his oppression and tyranny and reclaim Egypt once more.”

It called the killings “a turning point that will have its own repercussions… el-Sissi is initiating a new phase during which it will not be possible to control the anger of the oppressed sectors who will not accept to be killed in their own houses and in the middle of their families.”

More Egypt – Some 200 dead – Egyptian troops, Islamists, civilians – in major ISIS-Egyptian battle in North Sinai

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant moved ominously close to Israel’s borders Wednesday, July 1 – not as predicted in the north, but in the south, from the Sinai Peninsula. There, ISIS followed up on its Ramadan terror outrages in France, Tunisia, Kuwait and Kobani, with a massive assault on Egyptian forces and reportedly capturing the northern Sinai town of Sheikh Zuwaid close to the Israeli and Gaza Strip borders. Confirmation of this would mean that the MFO facility at Gora is under ISIS siege. It would also mean that the Islamists had captured their first Egyptian town, a victory comparable to seizure of the Iraqi city of Ramadi. In the fierce 10-hour battle for the town, at least 200 Egyptian soldiers, terrorists and civilians were killed.

This is a big deal. I have a friend who is Egyptian and he says there is far more going on then what’s reported in the popular media here in Canada.

      No doubt he is correct.

    • I would not be surprised.

  • This is a perfect microcosm of Islam. Everyone trying to be a better Muslim than the other. And to be a better Muslim, you must show your devotion by killing.

The sum total of Islam – a killing cult where everyone tries to “one-up” everyone else.

Get out of the way and let the Muslim killing of other Muslims continue.

I know someone who grew up in Cairo – 45 to 50 years ago. She would LITERALLY shudder at the mention of the Muslim Brotherhood – they would stop at NOTHING to met their ultimate end – a world-wide muslim rule under sharia; murder, beheadings, rapes, gang rapes (including children). Of course, Shia and Sunni are mortal enemies; so in this respect the brotherhood is a good thing (they will slaughter each other).

I am so sick and tired of hearing abut Islam and Muslims and Allah and Muhammad and Jihad and Virgins , and then about the Peace and the Love and the Respect of Muhammed.
Actions of Muslims speak louder than words.
