ISIS “lone wolf” violence on global stage baffles Western authorities fighting terror

The US State Department said Friday, June 26, that there was no indication so far “on the tactical level” that “the attacks in Tunisia, Kuwait and France were coordinated.”

That conventional prototype of Islamist terrorist operations is no longer applicable. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ISIS has its own methods of inflicting widespread death which are hard to detect or predict. A decree sent from the top galvanized followers worldwide into initiating lasrgely solo operations. The result was: 211 people dead on Tunisian beaches, a decapitated victim – the first in Europe – at an US-owned French factory, and 27 Shiites killed at a Kuwaiti mosque.
The three outrages were perpetrated on three continents just two hours apart.

The second Friday of the Muslim festival month of Ramadan marked the first anniversary of the founding of the Muslim caliphate in Iraq and Syria under the rule of Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi and was therefore judged a fitting date for killing infidels and Shiites.

And my dear Sunni wife wants only to curtail my beer intake for ramadam. If they were all like her the world would be a better place, but breweries would take a shit kicking, for a month.

      bullshit

I was in Jordan some time ago, having a lunch and a beer with a Jordanian associate. I asked him about his drinking. He replied,

“There are two kinds of sins. Sins against Allah and sins against man. Allah cannot be harmed.”

At that point he took a long pull from the bottle.

      Oh, puhleeeze !

    • Islam creates countless excuses for its violence.

And “my dear Sunni wife wants only to curtail my beer intake for ramadam” is one of them.

As long as Muslims ignore the hate filled religious texts driving Islam, the violence will continue.

Islamic theological texts are the problem. Anyone who identifies as a Muslim is the problem. All Muslims are the problem.

All shit stinks. Islam is nothing but shit. And all Muslims are part of the smell.

Westerners need not to worry here for we all know that terrorism is rooted in poverty and lack of eductaion and that islam is the religion of peace.

Dear Leader Obama Sulla Felix Maximus reminds us that there is no such thing AS Islamic terrorism. This is merely one of those unfortunate workplace violence affairs wrought of inherently peaceful people rising up against their white racist capitalist overlords to voice their legitimate concerns.

  • MannieP

The big danger in the West is not IS as a state, but IS as a movement. It’s not happened yet, but they are agitating for that.

  • Millie_Woods

The authorities should hold an interfaith dialogue. If that doesn’t work, try sacrificing a virgin.

Only idiots can be baffled by mayhem inspired by hateful ideology.

“The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ISIS has its own methods of inflicting widespread death which are hard to detect or predict. A decree sent from the top galvanized followers worldwide into initiating largely solo operations.”

Think about it — this is very much how a computer works — a digital way of “thinking” as it were. Unlike the old linear/analog mode that our western intelligence agencies seem to be stuck in. If we are ever to defeat them, we must transform our thought processes.

    • Norman_In_New_York

Are those at the top who issue the decrees being targeted? If not, why not?

      • Waffle

Perhaps there’s not just one top person. Perhaps there are many. Perhaps they’re very good at hiding, like a computer virus. Perhaps they shape-shift as circumstances dictate. Perhaps modern communications are a major game changer, although the French jihadi went a little crazy and sent a “selfie” to someone in Canada. This could well be the beginning of the end, at least for one killer and his circle.

  • ntt1

the one common item amongst “lone wolf” attackers is islam. that seems like a dandy place to start profiling.

  • Alain

May I say one cannot “fight terror”, so the idea of the West “fighting terror” remains idiotic at best.
