Prime Minister Tom Mulcair? New seat projections, poll show NDP surging across Canada

The latest seat projections taken from an aggregate of opinion polls suggest Mulcair’s New Democratic Party could win 130 seats in the House of Commons – 11 more than Stephen Harper’s Conservatives and 44 more than Justin Trudeau and the once-powerful Liberal party.

And indications are that Donald Trump is the leading Republican candidate for president. Generally speaking the clowns are the first one out of the gate and whilst doing so make a big splash with the media.

    • Justin St.Denis

Donald Trump is a clown? Really, Skippy?

      • T.C.

Yes, yes he is. Big time clown. Like Peter Pocklington was a clown running for the PC leadership. Trump is one hell of a developer. Knows how to charge a $30 million speakers fee. Sure knows how to market stuff. Very successful from that point of view. But why is he in this race? At least I know what sort of agenda leftists Democrats hold. And the Republican conservative politicians have made their views known over time. What the hell has Trump accomplished politically, other than to market himself at every opportunity? As far as I am concerned he is running on ego and as a result looks like a clown parading in a circus ring. Lets see if Trump goes the distance. Lets see if he has any depth. I am thinking it’s doubtful. But it will be entertaining.

Do you mean O’bumbles the clown? From the Chicago clown school?

        • Justin St.Denis

          Your point?

Many moons ago, I was very young and idealistic and voted for the NDP.

People change, people grow, people gain deeper understanding over a longer timeline. Readers who have lived longer times lines know what I am talking about. Perhaps you cannot understand what I am saying……..yet.

          • mauser 98

yikes! Dippers… parents flipped when they heard NDPers sing Bolshevik “the International” back in the 60’s at convention. drilled it into my head.
as for Trump …says the right things but will turn on a dime, quit if he gets bored ,irritated
            ……..perhaps you will see

    • Tom Forsythe

I just hope that the other candidates are noticing that the guy with the most radical, “offensive” views about immigration is surging in the polls, and realize that it is a winning issue for conservatives.

      • Millie_Woods

I hope so too. Not that Trump would actually convert his ‘radical views on immigration’ into policy.

  • JoKeR

I wonder if they are going to be mobilizing ACORN Canada?

    • They’re here and no doubt in touch.

      • Ottawa Eyes

ACORN Canada works with another group that was out canvassing for the NDP in the provincial election last Spring, the Federation of Metro Tenants Associations.

        • Observer

Both groups were featured today together by GlobalTV.

  • I hope to God things switch around before the October elections.

    • I hope Notley as expected does something really hair brained.

      • She kind of has, so….

      • dance…dancetotheradio

I thought it was hare brained.

  • Clear Thinker

I am sitting in cash waiting for all of the asset classes to drop. It will be interesting to watch the US dollar v the Can Dollar next september in the lead up.

    • Justin St.Denis

      I play the same game.

    • Cash is good.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      Married with children.
I have no cash and no asset classes.

    • canminuteman

Guns, ammo and canned food should be one of our asset classes. We are the new Kulaks.

      • Millie_Woods

        The Armageddon portfolio?

  • WalterBannon

Jesus Christ. Not before I die please.

    • andycanuck

Let me add, I hope you live happily for another 500 years, Walter.

    • Long life to you Sir.

    • Tom Forsythe

Don’t worry, the election isn’t until October.

      • Tom Forsythe

        But I’ve said too much.

    • mauser 98

      Justin is here

  • Jay Currie

At a guess the polls have Justin a bit high. Once the rout get going we might just see the final rout of the Liberal Party.

    • I think Toronto will be it’s Wagnerian redoubt.

      • Jay Currie

Rosedale perhaps…but once the Orange starts flowing the only bulwark will be the 401.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

I have been looking forward to that since I cried myself to sleep the night Joe Clark lost an election because he couldn’t count.
      I was thirteen years old.

      • Millie_Woods

        More like Joke Lark.

  • Tom Forsythe

Voters tell pollsters all sorts of things, but I am optimistic that the Conservatives will run a strong campaign.

And I helped make the credibility of the US Federal Government this big…………

  • Gary

The NDP has learned from Obama on how to buy the votes from ignorant peons
with Free stuff to create more Wards Of The State no matter how high the debt is driven up .
Look at how Olivia Chow supports the No One is Illegal groups that aid in coaching people to get into Canada and make a bogus
refugee claim, or, work illegally while Chow endorses them getting FREE health care and may get to Vote in Election .

The more people on welfare or hand-outs means more Government Union Jobs
with over paid malcontents that will vote for the Party that gives THEM more Free stuff.
The morons are now in charge.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

You should add that the NDP are benefitting from using the Liberal agenda.
National day care comes to mind.
The Liberals never delivered when they were in power so no one believes them.

  • reidjr

I was in a debate with a few youths and they said $15 min wage would be huge and I told them you know its high school kids that would suffer under $15 min wage they would not get hired they told me non sense.

    • Raymond Hietapakka

From $.80 an hour when I started working, to 15 balloons today. What happened?

      • Man_with_Hat

        Public sector unions

  • canminuteman

I am sure that at least some here are fans of Captain Capitalism. He did an excellent video on the “King Burwell Obamacare decision”. You should all watch it. It’s depressing and liberating all at the same time. Basically he says that the fight has been lost, we are never going o go back so adjust your life accordingly and “enjoy the decline”.

  • DVult

The good news is that imbecile Trudeau won’t be PM next election. The bad news is that imbecile Mulcair might be PM. No doubt he will screw things up royally.

  • Man_with_Hat

Do we really want a citizen of France running Canada?

  • Jabberwokk

    2015: Prime Minister Mulcair
    2016: President Clinton 2.0
