Pan Am Games set to cripple an already congested region for events in near-empty stadiums

TORONTO — For months now, there have been two competing narratives about the 2015 Pan American Games, shortly to descend upon Toronto and surrounding region. The first is that nobody cares. The second is that the Games traffic will cripple an already congested region.

    And I have heard that Canada is staging the soccer world cup for ladies. If they scaled down the sizes of goal and ball by about 10%, they wouldn’t seem so bad at goalkeeping. Do female tennis players have to use men’s rackets?

    I saw on the news the renovated alley for bowling. Can’t wait for that bowling match between Trinidad and Bermuda, although I heard Chile is strong this year.

    Our small rural hospital is over crowded and falling apart, so I’m glad they are spending millions of dollars building a horse barn nearby for the games so we can use the horse stalls for patients.

    Wonder how the establishment media will cover the empty stadiums and the traffic jams. Or will these scandals be known by word of mouth?
