Toronto’s “enthusiasm” for the 2015 Pan Am Games will come, Mayor John Tory predicted Friday.
Tory — who has been a big Pan Am Games booster since taking office late last year — made a stop at the Athletes’ Village at Cherry and Front Sts. on Friday afternoon and saluted Toronto 2015 for the preparations ahead of the games next month.
“This place is, you know, pretty well ready,” Tory said. “I don’t want to hex them by saying it is completely ready and I think that is just a tribute to the organization.
“I’m excited, I think the people of Toronto are getting very excited about what is coming up, and I hope that we can all engage in a bit of a sense of that excitement of what’s going on down here because I think most people just don’t know yet.”
