Jihadists urged to take European holiday before joining Islamic State to avoid raising suspicion

WOULD-be jihadis are being told to take a sightseeing trip of Europe before joining the Islamic State death cult in the Middle East.

Previously Aussie recruits have flown to Istanbul via southeast Asia, but recruiters are worried the route is now raising too many red flags with authorities.

The death cult recruiters, often Australians already in Syria, tell their followers to go to Europe for a “short holiday” then drive in via Turkey.

The Herald Sun understands the Islamic State’s chief Australian recruiter, Neil Prakash, has told followers to avoid flying directly to Turkey.
