IDF Rehearsing for Nightmare Scenario: 4,000 Killed in Days

Security forces are currently rehearsing and preparing for a scenario in which Israel’s enemies launch a “carpet” missile attack that Iron Dome will be unable to counter, due to the sheer number of missiles involved, Arutz Sheva has learned from knowledgeable sources that wish to remain anonymous.

In this scenario, up to 4,000 Israelis will be killed in the first days of the attack, which could happen as early as this summer.

“Iran is seeking to cover Israel with intense fire,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned in a special briefing for journalists at the week’s end.

… and the war will start when Israel fires back, resulting in a call for “both sides” to show “restraint,” murderers and their victims alike… as per usual…

  • Ron MacDonald

    Compliments of Obama’s appeasement.

  • MannieP

If that happens, Iran should be treated to instant sunshine, and the firing sites made uninhabitable.

    • Blacksmith

Iran will only back it and promote it indirectly, I am not disagreeing with you but they will claim they had nothing to do with it.

At the moment I would think Iran and Hezbollah have enough on their plates with Assad and ISIS. I am not saying this sort of strike could not happen, but Hezbollah is losing to ISIS and a lot of its fighters are being killed.

While the first round of missiles could probably be fired with the sort of loss of life contemplated here, it is not obvious that Hezbollah has the fighting strength left to meet the Israeli counter offensive.

(Which, one hopes, will be really, really disproportionate.)

Yep, the Gulf State must be pouring in the money….IS is going from strength to strength.

Looking a joojle maps I see that IS would have to either get through Jordan, Saudi Arabia, or what’s left of Syria and Lebanon in order to get to Israel.
      Not impossible.
If they did somebody would get a hurt a real bad.

It is prudent for Israel to prepare for nightmare and worst-case scenarios. However, the Defense Ministry hasn’t been sitting still since the last round with Hezbollah. It’s more than just ISIS, but other Sunni rebel groups are threatening Assad and Hezbollah, which has admitted that all is not going well.
