1 dead after officer-involved shooting in Roslindale
“…The suspect described was in his 20’s and believed to be of Middle Eastern descent. Boston Police and the FBI had followed him for several days before they tried to speak with him Tuesday.
“Our officers in conjunction with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, had a suspect under surveillance here at this location. At that time, our officers, along with the FBI, confronted the suspect, identified themselves as Boston Police and FBI. At that particular time, the suspect turned, he pulled out a military-type knife. The officers asked him several times to put that knife down, they gave him several commands,” said Evans. “Again, several more orders to put down, and at that point, he came within the proximity that the officers used deadly force. The suspect was shot and taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he’s declared deceased at this time.”

Law enforcement officials refuted that allegation at Tuesday’s press conference.
Commissioner Evans said Rahim was shot twice – in the torso and the abdomen – and that there is surveillance footage to back up that version of events.
‘The officers asked him several times to put that knife down. They gave him several commands. The officers tried their best, repeating. Again, several more orders to put down. And at that point, he came within the proximity that the officers used deadly force,’ he said.
