Saudi Arabia to use electronic bracelets containing personal information for Muslim pilgrims

Al Arabiya has reported that Saudi Arabia will be asking all pilgrims who visit the country for their Hajj, to wear electronic bracelets containing personal information.

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and one of the most important events for Muslim people around the world, gathering more than 2 million people in Saudi Arabia to take part in one of Islam’s five main of faith.

    If that doesn’t smack of “islamcphbia” I don’t know what does. Enforcing any kind of security surveillance on Muslims is the height of “islamophobia” so we keep being told.

    If the bracelets are RFID and they include info on suni vs shia then it would be easy for ISIS or any other nut job to use the bracelets to target a bomb.
