Thousands turned out for Ms Almanea’s funeral after her body was flown back to Saudi Arabia for burial
A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with murdering a 31-year-old Saudi student who was wearing a burka and a father-of-five within three months of each other.
The teenager was stopped by officers on Tuesday on suspicion of having an offensive weapon – a lock knife – on the same path in Colchester where Saudi Nahid Almanea was found brutally stabbed to death last June.
The boy has now been charged with murdering Ms Almanea and James Attfield, 33, who died after being stabbed more than 100 times in the town last March.
