Benjamin Levin sentenced to 3 years in prison on child porn charges

Former deputy minister was a member of Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s transition team.

Former Ontario deputy education minister Benjamin Levin was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for making and possessing child pornography, and counselling to commit sexual assault.

Levin, 63, showed no reaction as Ontario Court Justice Heather McArthur read her sentence.
She said his “moral blameworthiness” was particularly high, given his background and career in education.

The counselling to commit sexual assault relates to an online interaction Levin had over several weeks with an undercover police officer posing as a mother interested in sexually abusing her young daughter.

“He recklessly pursued his selfish sexual desires, all the while knowing a young girl could be abused,” McArthur said, adding that the “gravity of his crimes is serious.”

Well I was wrong, Levin got 3 years, I wonder if that means he’ll be out in time for Christmas.

Like Brault, involved in ADSCAM, 30 months sentence, then he was quietly set free after only 6 months, I believe…

With “good behaviour” in Canada you are let out after 1/6th of your sentence, and if it was a “violent crime” then 1/3rd of the full sentence.

Since no gun or knife was used, I am assuming they will classify this as a “non-violent crime” so that would be 6 months, just as you said.

I am sure he will spend it in a minimum security federal facility. I would rather put him in with those with beards charged with terrorism charges so he can be their beatch.

He end up with 6 month and those that get taught his school sex curriculum get a lifetime of misery!

Did she supply him with the pictures?

“Moral blameworthiness”??? That’s an extremely bizarre linguistic contortion even by progressive Newspeak standards!

Well let’s hope Old Benny enjoys many new intimate friendships at the Greybar Hotel.

Do you think the Ceeb will do a documentary on him, provided they can find the right sponsor?

Benjamin Levin was a ‘leader’ in a depraved Internet community: Crown

See, it’s the internet’s fault mostly. Make no mistake the “unreality based community” to which Levin, the legalistas and journos belong all pretty much consider ie. BCF a “depraved Internet community”.

Oh well. Just as long as everyone knows that homosexuality has absolutely NOTHING to do with pedophilia, and that the two perversions are totally separate things…

  • Mr_bigstuff

I’m surprised he got any time but he will be out in 6/8 months and get back on the liberal payroll somewhere-
What bothers me is there are no options for comments on either Toronto paper or our local free press – I guess they don’t want to hear the disgust from Canadians –
I certainly hope some guy ‘tunes him up’ while he is in the sneezer-

  • simus1

Hopefully he can continue his “important work” re updating and reforming Canada’s public education objectives while in prison. Would be a shame if Canada started falling behind during his enforced absence from the halls of elite power and unending anti Christian indoctrination initiatives.

Backdoor Benny will soon be awarded the Order of Ontario – by Katy Wynnebag – for his lifetime contributions to childrens literature….
