Obama Blames Iraqis for America’s Failure

There is a lot of interesting material inPresident Obama’s interview with Jeff Goldberg of The Atlantic beginning with the president’s claim: “No, I don’t think we’re losing, and I just talked to our CENTCOM commanders and the folks on the ground.” I can’t help remembering that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and President George W. Bush said some variation of that statement regularly between 2003 to 2006 even as we were manifestly losing. Earth to Oval Office: Just because military commanders tell you that they’re not losing doesn’t mean that they’re right!

What difference, at this point, does
    it make?”

I suspect he is right we are not losing because we are not really engaged over there anyway. A few airstrikes isn’t being engaged with the enemy. I often wonder how bad it will get before the west wakes up. I suspect there will have to be another mass casualty attack in the west before there is a real retaliation.

Mr Obama, sadly, exemplifies those words from Shakespeare: “The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in the stars but in ourselves, that we are underlings.” He may be President, but he is NOT a leader.

Well of course that, and it’s the Jews’ fault. This IS Jeffrey Goldberg.

  • Of course, Obama is never to blame.
