Moochelle: Museums are for White People

What a racist.

  • Jay Currie

Funny how white people take their kids to museums and swimming pools and libraries. After all, those white kids have to get their privilege somewhere.

On an unrelated note, my rather white little boys spent the afternoon with their very white little boy friends hitting rocks with 18 ounce hammers. Eye protection was worn, a good time was had by all, privilege scores went up by 100 because, well, rocks and hammers. Oppression follows.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

Starting your own chain gain road crew or sharing and demonstrating them some geology knowledge?

      • Jay Currie

I keep hoping for a fossil but not the right sort of rock. So just little boy destruction.

Amusingly my 14 year old has a full on compressor and the tools to make rocks into pebbles. Happily he left the younger kids to hammers. Keeps ’em busy I says.

Mandatory that they must be black-colored hammers and white rocks.

      • Censored_EG

I once saw a black man walking a white dog! Put that rock in your pipe and smoke it. 🙂

  • Drunk_by_Noon

    She kind of right.
When your population’s median IQ is 85, I would expect then to not be all that interested in walking around seeing a bunch of boring white people things.
I also like going to museums and not giving any thought as to if I will be shot and killed by the ferals.
They pursue other recreations that hold no interest for me, so I guess we are even.

Finally, the City of Detroit’s “art museum” (once one of the finest in North America) has been looted like Saddam’s Palace to pay for a bunch of social programs, that are themselves looted by more residents of Detroit.
What is left is a bunch of African “art” that NOBODY wants to see, so now they are thinking of just closing the entire museum.

    • Jay Currie

Well, that would be the bankruptcy process. Things of value sold… Other things, not so much.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Unfortunately those “things of value” were almost all donated or bought with donations from people, although long dead now, would have never made them had they known their eventual fate.
Selling the family jewels to support a drug habit and for some food money today.
        What will they do tomorrow?

    • Censored_EG

I assume the Diego Rivera murals are still there, and at least some of the great Impressionist works, no? I visited the Detroit Institute of the Arts back in 1997 and thoroughly enjoyed it, although Detroit was a dangerous hole back then.

On another note, I went to the main art gallery in Baltimore in the summer of 2011 and walked through the so-called African art section in 30 seconds in order to get to the excellent collection of early 20th-century American oil paintings. This African “art” resembled grade 2 to 4 art, i.e. paper mache masks and other crap. Pathetic. I was so pissed off I asked the security guard if he thought adults or children made that stuff.

      • Real African art – the ceremonial stuff actually made in Africa, antiques now mostly as far as I know – is quite different, of course.

    • nobull

with all due respect, that would be “boring white peopleS things”

Your white privilege shows when you use correct grammar.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

It’s the museum’s things; the museum houses the boring white people stuff.

        Actually, I think I’m good.

        • nobull

lol that was a joke – peoples is never plural unless we’re engagin in a discussion using ebonics.

  • HalcyonDaze

After I read the article about Mrs. Obama, I was sure the author had misspelled the name of the Museum by accidently adding an extra letter.

  • Xavier

White light is racist; henceforth to be called multicultural light. Also, shadows are banned; any white person with a shadow is racist and subject to punishment.

  • Minicapt

Given her education, knowledge, and intellect, a museum is still not a place for her.

    • Xavier

      A zoo, perhaps?

      • Minicapt

        And frighten the animals???

  • David Murrell

Funny, Ms. Obama’s remark hasn’t been reported on the TV news. One wonders why.

  • Ron MacDonald

The fact they are usually run by the Left escapes her.

  • ed

    not much to loot

  • mauser 98

saw lots of minorities when at Washington museums . Air&Space, Smithsonian etc.
    visitors and employees
“Harvard and its students were perpetuating “racist and sexist
stereotypes” by not intentionally hiring minority and female law
professors on the basis of their sex or skin color.”

  • Hard Little Machine

Do they ever tire of pretending to be outraged over their own good fortune?

  • Clink9

This White House is determined to drag the whole country down to the level of some housing project in Chicago.

  • Xavier

Racists see racism everywhere; it’s their raison d’ĂŞtre.

  • tom_billesley

She wants to put white people in museums?

  • Norman_In_New_York

Why is it that more Africans have voluntarily immigrated to the U.S. over the last 25 years than were brought here during the centuries of the slave trade?

  • Mr_bigstuff

I always thought she looks like Chuck Berry with tits-

  • Bubba

“Looks like Chuck Berry” ? Whoa! I like Chuck I was thinkin’ Al Not-So- Sharpton.
I guess Moochell figures all da homies are at Wal-Mart.

  • simus1

Mooch and her favourite ploughin’ mule are probably both a a bit crotchety after such a long cold winter and spring of forced inactivity. Once she gets out there in her bare feet with the furrows going arrow straight and long, she will be in her element.

  • nobull

time for someone to wax her forehead – the ape genes are showing again.

  • lolwut?
  • Mickey Oberman

Perhaps visits to a few museums would inspire black children’s curiosity and induce them to seek higher educations than merely being ‘street wise’.
