I’m sure Charlie doesn’t give a damn.

PEN International, like the ALA has been quite suspect in their choices of what to champion over the last 20-odd years.
Hell, the ALA had to be dragged kicking and screaming just to defend the Librarians that Castro was jailing 12-years ago.

All of these organizations are filled with worthless liars and posers and I am genuinely shocked that PEN even bothered to mention the CH atrocity at all. It seems that they almost didn’t.

    • They are not anyone you’d want to have your back in a bar fight.

No kidding. Liberal defense of free speech is paper thin.

Check out the “comments” section of the posted CBC News article on this (above). The highest “liked” comments oppose Charlie Hebdo, and are posted to justify the Islamist mass murder of the journalists. I am not making this up.

And you are surprised why? This is the norm for the Censorship Bureau of Canada and it’s socialist readers.

The leftist bourgeoisie playing at being the “defender” of the “oppressed” is nothing new. What a bunch of sycophantic cowards, rotten to the core.

I applaud Salmon Rushdie for his response. He knows a threat when it’s delivered.
