I just got one of these…

A present from K.

    They work!

    • Seems so!

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Some flavors work better than others so try mixing it up if you dont immediately have a flavor that you like. I eventually would up using mango and green apple, but started off with menthol.
If you haven’t already, start off at the highest nicotine strength they have, but try not to get any in your mouth and immediately wash off any you get on your hands.
I’m considering going back to them myself.
They are worlds better than they were a few years ago I hear.

        • MY taste buds are shot.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            They come back!

        • Miss Trixie

Gawd I loved smoking menthols! I used to smoke a pack and a half per day and when I switched to vaping, things improved IMMENSELY! After a couple of months without ciggies and just vaping, I was able to completely drop the vape and the addiction. Tastebuds came back, coughing stopped within days, slept better among other things.

          It’s FREEDOM, baby! 😀

    • Una Salus

Of course they work. That’s why the anti-smoking lobby can’t stand them.

  • Premier Dong Wynne is gonna be mad

  • Exile1981

I despise those things… I had to share an office with a guy who used an e-cig all the time and because it didn’t have second hand smoke he got away with doing it in the office all the time. The nicotine those put out is nasty to everyone around the smoker.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

      That’s not true Exile.
      It’s water vapor.

      • Exile1981

Maybe not the same thing then, the one he had put out this nasty smelling lime scent and as soon as he used it you could feel your pulse kicking up.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

          I call horseshit.
I ‘vaped the strongest menthol I could find, and then even added EXTRA menthol crystals to the mix, and after about a dozen experiments on lifelong non-smokers, no one could smell a damn thing.

          • Exile1981

He was ordering his liquid special from overseas, but your right I’ve never had anyones elses that smelled like his machine.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Think they guy was actually vaping liquid THC and not telling anyone what he was really up to?
They have finally perfected that over the last year or so.
He should have been too stoned to function, but some handle it better than others.

          • Exile1981

I actually never considered that but he quit when they brought in mandatory drug testing, so maybe? That would explain why it’s only his machine I ever had issues with.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Then I resend my ill thoughts Exile.
Oddly enough, the American Cancer Society is on a jihad against vaporing. I assume that much of their money comes from government subsidies that are siphoned off of cigarette taxes.
Less cigarette smokers, means less money for them.

          • Exile1981

Could be me as well, the wife and mother in law both say I have to be part body dog since I can smell things at much lower levels than anyone else.

I can smell the instant the daughter opens her perfume bottle from a floor away… she hates that,

  • Miss Trixie

Congrats Furface! These work very well and the one I used helped me quit smoking COMPLETELY three years ago.

Best thing I ever did. 😀

  • Frau Katze

As a lifelong non-smoker, I’ll pass on this (my one and only attempt at smoking, about age 16 or so, resulted in me nearly passing out. Never again.)

    • Drunk_by_Noon

All hail the power of negative reinforcement! 😉

Oddly enough, they are finding out that nicotine is one of the most effective and fast acting anti-anxiety, and anti-depressants known.
Too bad you have to get it from smoking.

      • El Martyachi

I quit years ago but enjoy the occasional one.. your post has convinced me to get one of these things for those times.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

The neat thing about vaping is that you get about 80% of the effect, but walking away from it is so much easier.

  • Clink9

Keep it up. I quit 30 years ago and never miss it. But nobody likes a quitter.

    • Xavier

Hell, quitting’s easy. I did it 50 times or more.

  • stu

Smoked for 32 years. 2 packs a day for the last 3 years. I bought my vaporizer, finished the smokes I had left in my pack and started using the vaporizer the next morning. That was a month ago. No cravings no, smoke stench in the house. I consider it an upgrade rather than a substitution . Try peppermint flavour

  • Xavier

I wish they had this stuff when I quit. Cold turkey sucks.

  • ntt1

I was a committed 3 pack a day smoker when I finally quit 22 years ago. the kids started to watch me smoke in a very intense and unhealthy way so it was cold turkey time. I tried Acupuncture and it reduced cravings ,unfortunately I started driving like a Chinaman so that didn’t work then I tried hypnosis and it worked very well no relapses and no sanctimonious lectures to smoker friends, but this vaporizer thing really seems to be helping many people at work where draconian anti smoking rules have created a marked criminal caste . good luck and enjoy the reawakening of your taste buds.
