P.E.I. man arrested on RCMP fears he would commit act of multicultural diversity due in court

CHARLOTTETOWN — A 20-year-old Prince Edward Island man is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Charlottetown today after being arrested last month when police said they feared he would commit a terrorism offence.

Amir Raisolsadat was arrested after a peace bond was ordered under Section 810.01 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Information sworn in court indicates that the RCMP “fears on reasonable grounds” that Raisolsadat will commit a terrorism offence.
