The ABC of our Islamophobia

CRITICISE Islam and you’re an “Islamophobe”. You risk court, as two Christian pastors in Melbourne found in 2004.

But criticise Christianity — celebrate even the burning of a church — and you’re a “progressive”. The ABC is your friend.

Islamophobia bad; Christophobia good.

Take last week. In the days before Easter, Christianity’s holiest time, no fewer than four Melbourne churches were torched.

The loveliest, Brighton’s Catholic Church of St James, was burned down, its magnificent stained glass, bells and organ destroyed…

…Yet when St James was destroyed, actor Rachel Griffiths was given sympathetic time on Melbourne ABC radio to say how good she felt…

“when St James was destroyed, actor Rachel Griffiths was given sympathetic time on Melbourne ABC radio to say how good she felt”
Well, there’s some comfort to be found in the thought that if ABC draws numbers there like CBC draws numbers here, very few caught this sick bitch’s “performance”.

Not comfortable with the term Christoboobola.
    Legitimises the other term.

  • Perhaps it is best to give everyone enough rope with which to hang themselves.

One cannot fix stupid, as I have heard said.

I hate to say it but it looks like Australia is in deeper trouble than I thought.

So Rachel Griffiths, whoever she is thinks its fine to burn 4 churches in Melbourne. She may have an issue but what about the people who worshipped in those churches. What a very stupid and Hollywood narcistic thing to say. Just proves Hollywood can ruin anyone. 4 churches burned and this nobody is happy. Not a word for the people who are without a church says pretend Hollywood narcisist should have been the headline. At least we know who not to see.
