Everybody loves a good heist story…

Security guard ‘heard alarm at £200 million Hatton Garden gem heist but didn’t go inside because he doesn’t get paid enough’

  • Stronger than Dirt

Don’t worry security guard, as the police always say, ‘Just give them what they want, it’s not worth your life’.

  • The Goat

It appears the security guard was also paid too much.

Hiring security guards, then paying them minimum wage, and telling them they can only ‘observe and report’ or they will get fired (for liability reasons) always struck me as counter productive.
I guess they are better than nothing, but not by much.

Security is there to for two reasons.

1:) To provide the same service to the employer as Chaff and Flare do on fighter jets.

2:) To be glorified Ken dolls. All form and no substance.

Also, breaking this morning: a gang robbed a Canadian-owned gold mining company of 7,000 oz of the yellow stuff:

  • Hard Little Machine

Can’t say I blame him. All business is who to hang the fault on.

…cousin Gordy and his Ultimate Safe-cracking tool…this is what you’d use to cut thru 18″ of virtually anything…the diamond-tipped chain cost $750 all by itself…

It’s now thought that the gang who carried out the heist may be responsible for underground cable fires that knocked out power for days.
