When not even Megyn Kelly gets it on Islamic immigration…

Megyn Kelly is intelligent, quick on her feet, and knows how to aggressively challenge interviewees. Her mind is sharp and her tongue can be sharp. She will skewer anyone who cannot effectively defend his position.

She is terrific when she’s right and dangerous when she’s wrong.

And in her interview with Bobby Jindal the other night, she was dangerously wrong.

Jindal argued that we should restrict immigration to Muslims who want to kill us. Ms. Kelly was outraged. She said such a view, if you can believe it, was “controversial.”

She said, “Members of ISIS may be a different story, but just to say that if you are a radical Islamist or, more specifically, if you believe in Sharia law, then you won’t be allowed into the United States is controversial. Who decides how far into Sharia law you have to be? Who decides who’s a radical Islamist and who’s just an Islamist?”

In other words, Ms. Kelly’s position appears to be we are morally obligated to let people into this country whose worldview calls for our destruction, and there’s nothing we should do about that until they actually start blowing up or shooting innocent American infidels…

    Victim of success.

Fox news has been destroying the competition, especially Megyn Kelly. Now that they are by far the most popular cable TV news show, they’re trying to expand further by moving closer to the center.

The default position of those trying to adhere to the center is that every dispute has 2 sides that must be respected and represented. Instead of condemning what is morally wrong, the new Fox News tries to explain and appease the morally wrong.

    • Brett_McS

And they can do this because the other networks have pushed further to the left, leaving that centrist space wide open.

Fox News is not as conservative as the commies believe.
It’s just that they are the most conservative news source on cable.
I watched Fox for a while when it was bundled with Sun News.
      Soon, I simply couldn’t.
The only thing I found more appealing than Megyn Kelly’s legs was Dennis Miller.

      • mauser 98

        they follow a script…
CNN Erin Burnett now has implants. watch. she leaves a few buttons undone now

For those who don’t know (freezing in Canuckistan) below is some info about Megyn Kelly. It’s a name worth remembering as she’s on her way to becoming the the best known news broadcaster in the world.

The other thing worth knowing is that despite all the mud thrown at Fox News by the media “elite” in Canada, Fox News is a network for news junkies. The viewers aren’t the knuckle draggers the CBC mocks, but are in fact high-information voters. They know more, not less, than the groupthink liberal (sic) lefties. When the media party disdained Sun TV as Fox News North, they were in fact giving a high compliment.

The other other thing, is that Megyn Kelly is the mother of 3 young children. So she pulls off the miracle of great career and great family life. Therefore, if she’s not quite up to speed on some topics, it’s because she also has a life.

Immigration is a reverse-onus situation. You have to prove to us that you are trustworthy, not the other way round.

  • mauser 98

a script to follow. .. do not deviate… do not upset muslims or non whites

  • Drunk_by_Noon

I think she hates Bobby Jindal specifically, for whatever reason.
She’s also fabulously wrong on this subject too.

    • mauser 98

Kelly will never mention Jindal elegibility issues

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Jindal was born in this country, so I think that categorically makes him eligible. You can argue if he would be a good choice, but I think he’s certainly eligible.

mmmm. not what i have been reading . parents not US citizens at time of his birth.
          and i like Jindal

          • Drunk_by_Noon

As long as we have the current interpretation of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment by the Supreme Court, then I think that’s it. His parents don’t have to be citizens.
BTW, I don’t agree with it.

I think the definition should be that BOTH parents must first be citizens AND that the candidate must be born here. Unfortunately, the SCOTUS doesn’t see it that way.

While we are at it, let’s tank the entire concept of dual-citizenship too.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Canada has an anchor baby problem, too.

          • mauser 98

if 2 illegals give birth in US, anchor baby is US citizen.
is that anchor baby “natural born” ? eligible to be POTUS?

          • Drunk_by_Noon

According to Plyler v. Doe (1982) the SCOUS has ruled just THAT.

The Constitution doesn’t define “natural born citizen.” This infographic is one of many possible positions on the topic, but there has never been a definitive, final ruling on the subject. In my view, where the law is imprecise, justices must err on the side of the individual. In this case, it means giving a broad interpretation to the term.

At what point do we know someone is dangerous? At what stage do we say no to creeping supremacism? At what point do we say, ‘You’re not our kind of immigrant, student, resident?’

    Jihad is a CIVILIZATIONAL PROCESS.

    • luna

Exactly, it’s like boiling a frog by slowly turning up the heat.

    • Tom Forsythe

How about using opposite-sex customs agents for the interview process? If the man won’t talk to a woman, or the woman won’t remove her veil for a man, that is a pretty good clue that they are hostile to our values. Or you could mention Israel and see what colour they turn.

  • Brett_McS

I suspect that Megyn Kelly will ‘evolve’ on this issue when she thinks about it a bit more. She’s a smart woman.

The next stage after stopping Muslim immigration is to ban mosques/Islam, but it will be a while before that ever hits the mainstream airwaves.

    • luna

I would hope so, she is smart, and she has great guests. Unfortunately, the guests often use PC code words like “radical Islamist”, very are willing to admit that the scale of the problem.

  • eMan14

Statistically most Muslims will not try to kill us. But we have no way of telling who will, who will want to, and who will eventually come to that belief.
Aside from that major issue, we have sharia law and other cultural nuances that simply are incompatible with western society.
When it comes down to it, Islamic immigration to the west is a bad idea and should not be allowed. We can’t afford to continue down this road.

    • luna

“Statistically most Muslims will not try to kill us.”

Really? I dare you to visit any Muslim community and openly identify yourself as an infidel, for example by wearing a shirt that says infidel (in the local language & in Arabic).

  • luna

Megyn Kelly is smart but she doesn’t seem to understand what motivates ISIS, Iran, or their supporters.

Recently I saw her confused and frustrated when a guest starting going into some detail about the conflict as it was playing out geographically in terms of religious sects, she admitted she couldn’t keep up. I tried to find a link to that clip but I couldn’t.

don’t watch these fair & balanced losers. don’t listen to rush.. or
mark levine or judge jeanne .. they all missed the coup d’etat ..

  • Tom Forsythe

The good thing about Megyn Kelly is that she isn’t afraid to change her mind when she is proven wrong. She started off very critical of George Zimmerman, but when more facts came in she supported him.

    • Justin St.Denis

Plus, let’s be honest, Megyn Kelly is the hottest woman on TV. She is the cream vanilla truffle you always dreamed of! I just love the woman! But she is wrong on this issue. She’ll change her mind, though.
