NB’s anti-fracking moratorium begins

Ezra Levant reports for TheRebel.media:

New Brunswick’s anti-fracking moratorium goes into effect today. It’s a shame, because fracking could help alleviate the province’s chronically high unemployment rate.

A lot of those unemployed New Brunswickers have, in fact, left their home province to work in the oil industry in Alberta and BC.

NB could have become something of an energy superpower, given that it sits atop lots of shale rock.

The province’s reasons for blocking fracking just don’t make sense. If you don’t know what “social license” means, Ezra explains it.

But think of all those school bus jobs there. Separating english and french students create jobs.

And the Liberal Brian Gallant government has postponed an already announced refurbishment of our Fredericton hospital — the key hospital in the central province area and a hospital with dangerous overcrowding.

Consider Premier Brian Gallant a Justin Trudeau/Kathleen Wynne clone — all teeth and smiles, with a high-tax, anti-jobs agenda. Consequently, Gallant was accorded one-sided news coverage by the Toronto media cartel. E.g., the Globe and Mail’s hyper pro-Liberal reporter Jane Taber wrote one-sided, bootlicking coverage during the last election (in one article, the Globe publishing a slavish, fawning photo of Trudeau and Gallant together, representing a supposed “youth” resurgence).

Today Gallant will hike our HST by two percent, to the resounding cheers of our corporate media.

Notice the CBC complains that they didn’t invent extra risks to fulminate about!
