Nevada: Vegas neighbors lose fight against Islamic cemetery near residential communities

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) — Neighbors have lost their fight against a proposed Islamic cemetery not far from McCarran International Airport.

On Wednesday, Clark County commissioners allowed plans for the project to move forward, despite widespread opposition from people who live nearby.

The empty plot near Warm Springs and Bermuda roads is partially surrounded by homes, one of the big reasons why neighbors say the space should not become an Islamic funeral home and cemetery.

“The main concern has always been that a cemetery doesn’t fit in our neighborhood,” said one resident.

Plans call for up to 1,200 plots to serve the area’s Muslim community. Signs are posted throughout the neighborhood opposing the project…

Muslims follow the maxim “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again”
This is the third attempt to get a permit for a cemetery on “green belt” land. A muslim charity Thaqwa Cemetery opines “Being the oldest Monotheists, Muslims have always maintained the ancient burial system.” That “oldest monotheist” arrogance comes from their belief that Jews and Christians received early tenets of islam but ignored or twisted them.

This will no doubt do wonders for the value of local real estate! *sarc*

Funny enough they built one of these in the east end of Ottawa and home values have increased.

Speculation, but probably because Muslim’s are trying to move into the area.

Maybe all those that are moving rather than live next to it should pour a couple of gallons of pig blood on the grounds and dump their bacin grease there as well.
