Ithaca College Student Government Considers Anonymous ‘Microaggression’ Tracking System

There is a chilling resolution that is currently under consideration by the Student Government Association (SGA) at Ithaca College, a private university in upstate New York. The resolution, which has the support of many SGA members, seeks to target so-called “microaggressions” on Ithaca’s campus by creating a tracking system that students can use to anonymously report incidents of perceived bias on campus.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, a microaggression is a slight against another person—intentional or not—that is perceived to be discriminatory based on the snubbed person’s race, ethnicity, gender, class, or practically any other characteristic that one might think of.

Princeton University students have called microaggressions “papercuts of oppression”…

Big Brother says you are guilty of thought crimes.
Isn’t ‘perceived bias’ another way of saying that one has an opinion.
Be afraid of expressing an opinion…be very afraid.

Will Muslim calls to destroy Israel and all Jews be considered ‘perceived bias’ as well?
Will Muslim prayers cursing Jews and Christians (17 times daily) be considered ‘perceived bias’?

    • Islam Is a Crock

No. Muslims calling for the death of all Jews is a Macroaggression so clearly doesn’t meet the criteria!!

Is it ‘perceived bias’ if a Muslim refuses to shake a woman’s hand or if he will not work with a woman or accept a female supervisor?

Now what could go wrong with this with no need for the burden of proof or even to self identify? Whoever thought of this belongs in Cuba or North Korea.

Have your kid take as many university courses by distance learning or through on line study.

The assumption behind micro-aggression is micro-retaliation.
There is nothing micro about this war.

Few things I hate more than these studies that rely solely on what people feel they witnessed. I’ve said it on here before, since we have spent the last 25 years telling women and minorities that everyone is out to get them, every little slight is going to be chalked up to their gender or race, whether that is the reason it happened or not. Didn’t hold the elevator? Racism. Cut me off in traffic? Sexist. Didn’t say “thank you”? Homophobe. Never mind that all of these things happen to each and every one of us every day.

I’m micro-pissed at this whole issue of micro-aggression. Only a micro brain could be truly involved in this BS.

White male enrollment at Ithaca college is targeted to be reduced to zero. That’s more or less the point here.

Existence as a white cis male is original microaggression.
