#Germanwings Co-Pilot Deliberately Crashed Plane

Developing… Co-Pilot was German national

From BBC – Germanwings plane crash: Co-pilot ‘wanted to destroy plane’

The co-pilot of the Germanwings plane that crashed into the French Alps on Tuesday appeared to want to “destroy the plane”, French prosecutors said.

Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin, citing information from the “black box” voice recorder, said the co-pilot was alone in the cockpit.

He intentionally started a descent while the pilot was locked out.

Mr Robin said there was “absolute silence in the cockpit” as the pilot fought to re-enter it.

The co-pilot, now named as Andreas Lubitz, was alive until the final impact, the prosecutors added.

The co-pilot, said the prosecutor, is not registered in the German lists of terrorists or suspected.

It’s bizarre, a young man living his dream, offs himself and 150 others.

How soon do we hear that the co-pilot was a recent convert to Islam?

    • No indication of that. I am sure his apartment and his parents home will be searched for clues.

      • eMan14

But if he is… will it be released? The list of mysterious crashes is growing.

        • Doug Kursk

Sure is…this is the third “suicide by aircraft” that I have heard of in the past few years..

        • Very dicey for Air Travel whether they do or don’t release it. You would think someone intent on mass murder would leave a note or something somewhere.

His FB page is deleted. It left as far as I know no indication of his intent.

We should not jump to conclusions lest we become what we are against.

If in fact it is true “absolute silence in the cockpit” that does not fit the MO of one who engages in Jihad. They would want you to know in order to drive terror into the hearts of there enemies.

So far this sounds like someone who lost faith in there own future and therefore the value of there own life and accordingly the value of anyone else’s.

          In short Depression to Suicide

ISIS and other Muslim terrorists may be quiet now and taking a “wait and see” attitude re: the investigation. No doubt the Muslim world was and is overjoyed with the news of this airplane tragedy.

          • Very possible.

    • Frau Katze

I don’t think he was. A good forum (for reading), used by pilots, lots of discussion of how securing the cockpit doors post 9/11 made it impossible for the pilot to get in (left for a bathroom break). Apparently some airlines require two people in the cockpit at all times, depends on the carrier. There is talk that guy was going to be demoted or take a pay cut.

      • Well that’s a silly reason to take 150 lives.

      • Dana Garcia

On Fox News this morning it was reported that the practice of two people in the cockpit is an FCC rule and even extends to foreign flights entering the US.

        • It apparently is not a rule for European airlines.

“There is talk that the copilot was going to be demoted or take a pay cut.” If that’s true I hope they let us in on why.

  • BillyHW

    HR fail.

  • Ed

According to the German Prosecutor, the co-pilot is not on any lists of terrorists or suspected terrorists. What the hell are we supposed to do with that? So… there are lots of other pilots on such lists, just not this guy?

    • I hope that was just poor phrasing…

      • Censored_often

Conceptually awkward, and lost in translation, to boot.
Related question: Is this scenario possible on EL AL?

  • lolwut?

If it turns out he isn’t a muslim convert it will be used to forgive everything Muslims have done for the last 1400 years.

    Recent revert or full-on Leftie?

  • David Murrell

For what it’s worth, a CBC News thingy on the scene is reporting that the co-pilot (the person implicated in the mass murder) shouted “I have faith in Allah” or something to that effect. She also speculated that there were two or three Egyptian military officials on board, and that might have been the motive.

I was moving about the house (sick with the flue here), but I heard that in two separate news pieces. But Heather Hiscox — a notorious p-c leftie — didn’t follow up on her remarks. Switched onto CNN News, and they avoided the subject. The French prosecutor stated that “terrorism is not suspected” — which gives the p-c media an excuse not to follow that lead.

    • Doug Kursk

I would not be surprised in the least…in any case, should you be able to choose wether you want to fly with Muslim pilots? Should booking info come with the pilot’s biographical background?

    • Do you have a link David?

      • David Murrell

Sorry, I think it is a blind lead. I tried surfing the internet, and could not find anything. Sorry about this. I am deleting the post until we can find better info.

Is it possible a passenger or member of the flight crew conspired with the co-pilot?

This incident seems rather dramatic for an impulsive decision to be made when the pilot left the cockpit to go a pee. It was clearly premeditated.

        Diuretic in the coffee?

        • Censored_often

Plausible. Very James Bond-ish. Perhaps we’ll never know. One thing for sure, though, is we will know much more about this than the Malaysian airliner.

  • Raymond Hietapakka

Hmmm…why so many air crashes recently with flaky, undetermined causes?

  • Xavier

But was a Moslem passenger murdered by this crazed pilot, and what should Moslems do to retaliate?

  • Xavier

One third of what we’re being told is unintentionally incorrect, and one third is intentionally incorrect.

The correct third consists of words like ‘the’, ‘and’ and ‘to’.

  • Morticiaa

Really? Who wants a wooden nickel?
It’s almost a s bad as the public lie about the
Vietnamese guy in edmonton who murdered
All his family cause he was depressed over debts
And it had nothing to do with the Mexican drug
Gangs moving in on this territory
    Ah huh…….whatever….

Thank you for bringing this up. I do not think that the co-pilot was a convert or closet jihadist, but I do think this mass murder/suicide was the result of the nihilism sweeping the West and infecting our young. I keep asking myself why such despair seems to be prevalent in a beautiful place like Alberta. There have been many instances there, including the son of a police chief.

We live in a world where our young have little chance of meeting or topping the achievements o their parents. Many live in their parents’ basements and are crippled with debt from their worthless “educations”. They are fed a steady diet of senseless violence via video games (e.g. Grand Theft Auto, etc.).

Where is the hope, the optimism for a brighter future? Islam has stepped in to fill the spiritual void. Western youths, hungry for meaning in their lives have adopted the nihilism of this death cult. However, that said, I don’t thing this was the case with the Germanwings pilot. But then, that’s just my uninformed opinion.

I believe that the other black box and deep profiling of all passengers will unearth new information. Stay tuned, people. This is not the Malaysian airliner on the bottom of the ocean. Answers will emerge…..

      • disqus_W6sfZCiOd8

“but I do think this mass murder/suicide was the result of the nihilism sweeping the West and infecting our young” It is nihilism or something. Whatever happened to resilience when faced with failure.

Interesting that you would pick this particular song. It was written circa 1936 in the depths of the Depression and prior to WWII. Despite the dire circumstances, people were optimistic (Wizard of Oz/Over the Rainbow were contemporaneous). Dylan foresaw the change coming in the 60’s. The songs of the Viet Nam war were very different. Today we no longer sing about love — just sex.

  • Haven Monohan

    Gay Muzzie?

  • If someone can answer: what are the protocols for psychiatric exams for pilots?

    Thank you in advance.

    • I have no idea.

      • Is there anyone here who is a pilot or who knows whereof he or she speaks?

Should this guy not have undergone an evaluation before flying?
