Brian Lilley: Let’s worry about mission creep — not whether we’ll upset the UN by bombing ISIL

As the debate begins in Parliament about extending Canada’s mission in Syria, one of the big questions is: Does Canada have the authority under international law to do this?

Jason Kenney and the military’s top lawyer say yes. Naturally, the NDP and the Liberals don’t agree. They say Canada is entering an alliance with a dictator.

    The NDP would have wanted to debate the D-day landing (1944) while the CBC would have covered it on TV and Trudeau would have rode around Quebec yelling out the Invasion plans to mock Hitler’s threat .
