    Since a new season has begun, at least officially, my musical offering tonight is the first movement of Robert Schumann’s Spring Symphony. He actually wrote it to celebrate his marriage to concert pianist Clara Wieck, and she must have been some woman to inspire music like this. It is here performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Leonard Bernstein.
