Nathan Lean: Islamophobia is a Lucrative Industry

41GB41jBtOL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_The US-based Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life predicts that over the next two decades, Muslims will make up 26.4% of the world’s population of 8.3 billion people. This means that the worldwide Muslim population will have grown by 25% at the end of 2030.

However, while the population of Muslims in the West is growing, a fear of Islam as an ideology is increasing. This has sometimes resulted in aggressive and discriminatory measures against Muslims, which compels some scholars and thinkers to warn against the rise of “Islamophobia.” The belittling and mocking of Islamic beliefs, the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad — often in popular culture and the media — indicate that Muslims face a serious challenge: How to continue living in Western societies peacefully, while being on the receiving end of hate crimes, the denigration of their faith and the restriction of social freedoms.

Nathan Lean is an American scholar and writer, who has investigated Islamophobia extensively. He is the author of an award-winning book, The Islamophobia Industry: How the Right Manufactures Fear of Muslims. He has published tens of articles about religious intolerance and discrimination against Muslims in the West for various media outlets, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and The Huffington Post.

Lean believes that Islamophobia is a lucrative “industry” that wins skyrocketing salaries for those who promote and contribute to it…

It is not lucrative at all for the people blogging at this site — I can assure you of that.  Nathan Lean is notoriously biased.   Since he has a book out on the subject, it might well be lucrative for him.

Nathan Lean, a “scholar?” Only the PuffHo would go that far…

With a foreword by John Esposito, Professor at Georgetown University and director of the Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim–Christian Understanding. That’s where the real money is.

  • “How to continue living in Western societies peacefully” – if they were peaceful, they would have no problem. The problem is that the Moslem community dishes out murderous ‘martyrs’ to us non-Moslems every other day and promise repeatedly to one day become our Masters. That is the explanation and justification of Islamophobia.

I would also say that western governments are knowingly contributing to resentment by treating citizens as third rate … just look at subsidized housing. Heterosexual white male 5-8 years or until death in a homeless dump, jihadi terrorist ? 1 week to 1 month in a motel or until renovations (wtf) are completed.

“Nathan Lean is notoriously biased. Since he has a book out on the subject, it probably will be lucrative for him”.

Probably. He got at least $100,000+ in advance for his untruthful door-stopper. But lucrative for the publishing company? Who would want to buy and read this swill? Possible a few sub-90-IQ sociology majors, before they run off to some Jew-hating teach-in or demo. Or university libraries, whose faculty-of-arts profs regularly fill libraries with unread leftist tripe. But the concept of “Islamophobia” will go by the way of other leftist canards as the bodies, from Islamist war crimes, keep piling up.

Back in the 1930s, hard-right writers wrote junk justifying Adolph Hitler’s crimes against the Jews. Lean’s new book carries on this tradition.

Progressive academics will be lined up to sing it’s praises.

They’ll have to give these books away. Nathan Lean is working for Muslim Brotherhood or a Gulf government that funds him. He should be audited and watched.

Nathan Lean is a true fifth columnist.

They will probably give them away on college campuses along with queerans. Bearded goat-humpers in funny hats have a table set up once a week a my college.

Hey, I should pick some up! The May long weekend is coming up and we will need kindling.

  • Could 276 girls be kidnapped from a school in Canada, Japan, Argentina, China, or Poland and just disappear?

Ever see a photo of a group of Muslim women all wrapped up in burkas? Do you think those women freely choose to dress that way? Do you think some might prefer Nordstrom rather than “The Burka Store”?

Is it OK to take a woman – bury her up to her waist – then throw rocks at her until she is dead – because she got rapped?

There are hundreds of Muslim “no-go zones” spread throughout Western Europe. Do these Western European countries have any Buddhist or Hindu or any other “no-go-zones”?

What makes Muslims from Morocco to the Philippines riot, murder and commit mayhem over a handful of benign cartoons or a simple comment from the pope?

In Saudi Arabia, the “Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” (CPVPV), forced school girls back into a burning school building because they were not wearing proper Islamic clothing. The girls burned to death.

Islam is associated with the following locations – Mumbai, London, Madrid, NYC, Washington DC, Bali, Nairobi, Beslan, Moscow, Boston, Southern Thailand, Somalia, Timbuktu, Nigeria (and more) – do you know why? Violence. Can you name any other religious group associated with violence in so many different places?

Tell me again what “Islamophobia” is!

islamopander is the 2nd largest industry. It is like using asbestos. It keeps some of the heat away but it will kill you and those around it.

A phobia is considered a mental illness. There is no listing of an “islam phobia” in the diagnostic manual referred to as the DSM IV. The constant use of this term is inaccurate, misleading and insulting. It is a media propaganda tool. Would it be more accurate to say that islamics are “Jew phobic”, “Christian phobic” or perhaps “education phobic”? I would find that more logical considering the very well documented instances of violence against Jews, Christians and educators.

If some psych people, or anthropologists are really looking for a clear example of mental illness they need only visit any mosque. A new term must be used to define those who are fighting the violent mental illness of islam.
