Islamic Apologist Reza Aslan to Host CNN Show

Reza Aslan, the religion writer who claimed that his academic credentials include a Ph.D. in the history of religions (his Ph.D. is in sociology, not history; he teaches creative writing) and two decades’ study of Christianity, will have his own show on CNN, the network that invented cable news but which has lately seen its ratings plummet.

    A good fit.

How much Jew-hating will be on the show?

    • Rosenmops

      Plenty , I guarantee it.

So CNN is doubling down on its contempt for the viewership. This is good news for Fox News.

It’s amazing; the scum always rises to the top and is rewarded for their evil.

Creative writing teacher Reza Aslan lied about his credentials, then invented or ignored facts in his thesis regarding the New Testament (no mainline scholar believes that Jesus was a ‘zealot’ even remotely). The Talmud declares Jesus was healer who conjured with the name of Jehovah. It never suggests he was a military organizer. Theologian Rudolf Bultmann said scholars tend to see the Jesus they want to see.

Creative writing teacher Reza Aslan created the story that Jesus was like Mohammed and that Jesus tried to create a politico-religious army as Mohammed did. Reza Aslan’s book is full of inventions of his own facts. He won’t last long on the TV screen before someone catches him and his credibility is fatally wounded.

He should be audited to find his connection to the Islamofascist mullahocracy of Iran.

Yeah right he will last forever on that douchebag network. The 17 viewers of CNN will lap up his BS

I’ll watch once to see what it is he’s going to talk about. I’m curious.

    • Rosenmops

Come back and tell us what this idiot says. I couldn’t stomach watching him even for a minute. CNN will be bankrupt soon anyway.

I’m embarrassed for CNN. They have sunk so low. A mere shadow of their former selves. How could management have ruined it so badly when they had such a good thing going in the 90s.

What gets me is the rare few CNN hosts from yesteryear, those rare few one could still call serious journalists — such as Wolf Blitzer — still remain with this laughably-run news network. One would think that, with the addition of a quack like Reza Aslan, he and others would jump ship, in order to save their good names.

“CNN, the network that invented cable news but which has lately seen its ratings plummet”.

Yes. A few months ago I read a blurb which described how CNN management wanted its news hosts to show more “independent opinion”, etc. (CNN-speak for “left-wing drivel”). This was about the time that Howard Kurtz had left CNN’s “Reliable Sources” media-watch show, to start a new show on FOX News, “MediaBuzz”.

The new host on CNN “Media Watch”? Why, it’s Brian Steltzer, a politically-correct type who brings on left-lib types, from the New York Times, Harpers magazine, the New Republic, and other forgettable Obama-house-organs. On Sunday’s CNN’s “Media Watch” competes head-to-head with Fox News’s “Media Buzz”. And needless to say, the CNN shows ratings are plummeting to rock bottom.

Given the CNN corporate managerial move to tilt left, all of their shows are heading south. Recently the moribund channel laid off 200 employees. Serves them right.
