Barbara Kay: Gay advocate unwittingly encourages idea that children can be taught to be gay

The headline of a recent Washington Post  article was provocative, as it was meant to be: “I’m gay. And I want my kid to be gay too.” Writer, CNN political commentator and ardent feminist Sally Kohn set off a national firestorm of criticism with her admission that she would prefer that her daughter be gay like her than heterosexual, because she thinks being lesbian is a “an asset and a gift.”

Considering the high correlation between homosexuality and same-sex childhood sexual abuse, I’d say she might just know what she’s talking about.

    • Possibly

      He/she is demon-possessed. Period.

      • Speaksvolumes

Look, I think this is all kinds of fucked up, but “demon-possessed”? What are you getting at?

        • Justin St.Denis

Yeah, that seems to go a bit far. And I know ZIP about how to exorcise demons and have misplaced the number for DialAnExorcist.

Not to mention that it absolves her of all responsibility, given that she’s an innocent possessed by an entity using her to do its will (if you believe in that hokum…).

          … bathtub djinn …

They are totally obsessed with sex.

    • Yup Wynne is now gonna root out Rape Culture in Ontario.

what an absolute nut case and she was voted in. Gad!

She implied that sexual orientation is taught not born as has been the gay mafias claims for years.

Also she says that being a lesbian is an asset; and it is. A lesbian is automatically a protected minority and gets all sorts of rights.

    • Good point.

    • Xavier

Plus that it’s acceptable and even desirable for children to be steered toward a sexual orientation of their parent’s choosing. Isn’t that precisely what they’ve been railing against?

      • Justin St.Denis

I would quote an old axiom involving a goose and a gander, but it may not be appropriate under the circumstances. Funny, perhaps, for those who have a sense of humour. But this is 2015 and it would not be appropriate. The 21st Century may go down as The Century That Killed Humour

    • But that is trumped by Islam, so…

  • Justin St.Denis

An observation: we have a few gay male friends – professionals who are employed, either single or in committed relationships, good family ties etc. They have communicated in no uncertain terms that “gay” – as far as they are concerned – has an entirely different meaning than “lesbian”. As such, as they see it, “gay culture” is a homosexual male thing. Some have lesbian friends, but all agree that lesbians tend to be highly dysfunctional people – high levels of unemployment, weird political obsessions, domestic abuse, drug dependency, etc. We have perhaps been misinformed, but what I see/read about lesbians tends to confirm this perspective. Sorry if I have offended somebody, but I can only share what I see, hear, and observe for myself.

  • But… but… homosexuality is fixed and gender identity is fluid!

    Dyke City!

And the outraged Barbara Kay supportively furthers the homosexual agenda by calling them “gay”. Smarten up Barbara, stop glamorizing the very thing you are railing against. Homosexuality is anything but gay.

  • Clausewitz

Wait, that’s a chick? I thought it was Hugh Grant. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Ah screw it, it’s all totally wrong.

  • Gary

Hey , Wynne, Svend Robinson and Libby Davies pretended to be heterosexuals and now claim they are gay.
How tough is it to hate all the good think about canada and the West while having a collection of Show-Tunes and DVD set of Musicals.
