Steyn: The Field Where Liberty Was Sown

The most important anniversary this year is marked on June 15th – the day, eight centuries ago, when a king found himself in a muddy field on the River Thames near Windsor Castle with the great foundational document of modern liberty under his nose and awaiting his seal.

    Mark Steyn is a treasure.

The principles espoused by the Magna Carta Libertatum are of course alien to islam, where all rights come only from allah as concocted by his prophette mohammed.

The Magna Carta and the koran are irreconcilable. And that is why less islam is always better in freedom loving societies.

Time to give the ol’ tree of freedom some fertilizer.

You Jefferson-o-philes will get that, I’m certain.

Too bad that the Magna Carta and the older British Bill of Rights is ignored by Canadian law.
