“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over lousy fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world’s great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to Complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.”

-Alexander Fraser Tyler, Cycle Of Democracy (1770).

Conservatives use the polite phrase “low-information voters” to describe these klutzes.

Anyways, Mark Dice is a fairly live wire, he wrote the book “Inside the Illuminati”:

that kind of runs down all those conspiracy wackos out there who write about the “illuminati”. Book seems like fun reading, so I ordered it.

    • I don’t really know anything much about Dice, and I’m aware there are some questions about him. I haven’t looked into them.

I’ve got nothing against (or for) the guy, but obviously banging on about “illuminati” is a probable sign of crazy. So.

But these videos stand on their own merits. I mean, these are real people he’s talking to? This stuff is not faked?

Well then that’s all I need him for.

From the book reviews I posted, the book goes after the conspiracy nuts…

For the first 90 or so years of America maybe 10-15% of the populace had the right to vote. I’m not sure they made better decisions but at least they knew why they made them.
