Israeli Prime Minister Delivers Speech To Congress On Iran Talks

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork/AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked the United States and President Barack Obama for aiding Israel, but warned of the threat that Iran poses to Israel’s survival.

Netanyahu, who received a warm welcome upon his arrival in the U.S. House, said he appreciated the American aid, including military assistance to build the Iron Dome missile defense system.

“Some of what the president has done for Israel might never be known because it touches on some of the most sensitive and strategic issues that arise between an American president and an Israeli prime minister,” he said. “But I know it and I will always be grateful to President Obama for that support.”

He said he had a profound obligation to speak about the danger from Iran and said all efforts must be made to stop it from developing a nuclear weapon.

“The greatest danger facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons,” he said. “To defeat ISIS and let Iran get nuclear weapons would be to win the battle and lose the war. We can’t let that happen”…

I was thinking that BHO’s response would be to double down on pandering to Iran. Then I turned on the radio and Rush was saying the same thing.

Obama is so predictable. “Punish our enemies” is job #1 to him and Israel is an enemy.

When I see how Netanyahu is willing to kiss ass to protect Israel it makes me realize he is a statesman, not a politician.

Most patriotic Americans I know are in a state of humiliation because of the current POTUS. At an earlier period in American history, the response of American patriots to a traitorous POTUS a might have been a a little more proactive.

Israel is the only country in the middle east that allows freedom of speech, the press & religion to all of it’s citizens equally. That’s good enough for me to support them.
