Obama says Iran must halt key nuclear work for at least a decade

(Reuters) – Iran must commit to a verifiable freeze of at least 10 years on sensitive nuclear activity for a landmark atomic deal to be reached, but the odds are still against sealing a final agreement, U.S. President Barack Obama told Reuters on Monday.

Interviewed at the White House, Obama moved to dial back tensions over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned speech to Congress on Tuesday opposing the Iran deal, saying it was a distraction that would not be “permanently destructive” to U.S. Israeli ties.

But he strongly criticized Netanyahu’s stance and stressed there was a “substantial disagreement” between them over how to achieve their shared goal of preventing Israel’s arch foe from acquiring nuclear weapons.

If Iran gets nukes, who would be their first target? Seems U.S. (“great Satan”) would be the logical choice, if only they have a delivery system.

What if they just capitalized on the threat of using them, like the Norks? If Iran nuked anyone they would be wiped off the earth. Even if they supplied nuclear weapons to terrorists, it’s easy to analyze the fallout to determine the country of origin.

Crazy is what they do best in Iran. They need end times for the 12th Imam to come crawling out of that well.

Naturally the rogue state of Iran would cooperate. Obama continues running interference for them determined that they get their nuclear weapons.

In his speech to AIPAC, Netanyahu pointedly related key instances where Israel stood up to American pressure and did the right thing despite opposition from Washington.
