Bypassing official channels, Canada’s Ukrainian diaspora finances and fights a war against Russia

The fight for Ukraine is associated, naturally enough, with the blue-and-yellow hues of the country’s flag. But in the struggle to hold back Russian-backed rebels in the east, a second pair of colours is increasingly seen: the red and white of the Canadian flag.

In the Kiev headquarters of Army SOS, a volunteer organization that aids Ukraine’s warriors in the field, the Maple Leaf hangs in both the warehouse on the first floor and the drone factory upstairs. Until recently, Canadian flags were often included with supplies delivered by Army SOS to the front – which likely explains why Canada’s colours have been seen flying on the front lines outside of the rebel capital of Donetsk.

I think the Canadian Flag should stay out of this skirmish. This has no similarity to the Palestine vs Israel or other Islam vs Civilization situations. So unless there is clear evidence that it’s in our national interest to support the “Maidan Rebels” against “Big Bad Vlad” we should not take sides simply because the media tells us to.

    • Too late we’re already in.

Any opportunity to curry the disfavour of the Putinistas should be exploited. A traditional Russian like Putin only feels understood when beaten.

Typical Grope and Flail – media party effort.
No ally of the west can ever hope to meet the high moral standards demanded by our “journos”. Protecting Canada’s good name is their most important mission.
On the other hand, no muslim savages or sociopath marxist mass murdering regimes need ever worry about the media party applying anything approaching the most minimal standards to them.
