Secret terror retrial: Erol Incedal ‘had Tony Blair’s address’

A terror suspect who may have planned to target Tony and Cherie Blair or a Mumbai-style outrage has gone on trial for a second time in Britain’s most secretive terrorism case.

Erol Incedal, 27, was caught with an address for the Blairs as well as a bomb-making document and may also have been planning an indiscriminate attack, the Old Bailey heard.

The jury was told Incedal is facing a retrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict on the main charge against him last year – of planning an act of terrorism.

The “exceptional” case has made British legal history because the majority of the trial will be heard in secret.
