Man accused of being Canadian security threat says weapons purchases fueled by love of guns, not terrorism
He asked at a gun store about buying a high-capacity magazine because it “looks good,” he said. He bought an “army tactical gun sling” system “because they looked good.”
Asked why he had bought a surveillance watch camera, he said, “because I could.” He said he bought a $2,800 thermal camera kit to put in a truck for night driving, although he did not own a truck.
“Although he immigrated to Canada in 2007, Mohammed Aqeeq Ansari is not a Canadian citizen and federal immigration officials are now trying to deport him.”
Not a day goes by that we aren’t given reason to celebrate diversity in Canada.
