Levin not involved in new sex ed curriculum: Sandals

TORONTO – A former senior education bureaucrat now facing child pornography charges did not design the new sex ed curriculum, Ontario Education Minister Liz Sandals says.

Sandals said she was involved in the first revamp of the sex education curriculum in 2010 when she served as parliamentary assistant to then Education Minister Kathleen Wynne, now the Premier of Ontario.

“I can guarantee you that Ben Levin was not in any way directly involved in developing the curriculum,” Sandals said.

As revealed by Sun Media columnist Joe Warmington, Levin is seeking character references as he prepares to head into court next week on charges of possessing child pornography and counselling a sexual assault on a child.
