The sparse crowd at the event didn’t deter Amir Masood.

“It’s not about the numbers,” he said. “Even one person might spread it to 10 people. If you love your religion, you should spread the truth about it.”

If he is like the writer whose work I briefly excerpted here, he truly believes that Islam is a peaceful religion. That is because the Ahmadiyya put zero emphasis on reading Islamic scriptures. They simply say ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ and except people to believe it.

The Ahmadiyya themselves may not promote terrorism but the same cannot be said about the Islamic texts. If they want to be taken seriously in the West – outside of the crowd of apologists who will believe anything – I would suggest they do some serious reform, starting with admitting that there are violent verses in the Koran and hadith.
