Harper unafraid to show fear
Webster’s defines “secret police” as “a police organization operating for the most part in secrecy and especially for the political purposes of its government often with terroristic methods.” As in, the Soviet KGB or the East German Stasi.
Monday’s Globe and Mail ran an editorial headlined, “Parliament must reject Harper’s secret policeman bill.”
The text of the editorial goes downhill from there.
“Prime Minister Stephen Harper never tires of telling Canadians that we are at war with the Islamic State.”
