Multikulturalismus wird euch frei machen: Message from the Director of CSIS on the new anti-terror bill

“…The globalization of terrorism has come to pose a real peril not just to Canada but to other western nations. Last fall two terrorist attacks took place in Canada, the first one in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and the second in downtown Ottawa.‎ Since then, the threat has accelerated as extremist groups call for additional attacks on Canada.

Not only have Canadian extremists begun to play a central role in terrorist propaganda but some are assuming leadership roles in terrorist groups. Communications technology allows them to plot attacks, recruit and build networks from anywhere in the world. Detecting and mitigating the threat posed by radicalized Canadians and their global co-conspirators is a tremendous challenge, and Canada’s intelligence community requires the tools to meet it.”

We need a mechanism to stop “mission creep” if these powers are granted then they must be countered by real feed back and veto from the electorate. perhaps grant these powers on a yearly basis to be renewed after referenda or impliment strict limiting language to prevent any future progressive government from using these new laws as a tool to destroy free speech and freedom of association .
Look at the governance on any major universitycampus in Canada, that is what a progressive government would look like but writ large, across Canada.
Would anybody trust a guy like trudeau two with these powers?

    • Good ideas all. and Trudeau would use the “politically” as the left has shown time and again.

It’s truly scary. These outfits will be working in secret and guaranteed a corrupt one can and will target law-abiding malcontent citizens.

    • Alain

The main problem I still have with this is the refusal to end the importation of the kind of people who make any of this necessary. If you are treating a spreading virus, you do the necessary to prevent more of it to infect and then treat the isolated virus left. Furthermore I must repeat that there are already plenty of existing laws to deal with most of this, but the authorities refuse to apply them. Kahdr should have been charged with treason along with many others, and the rabid Muslim crowds calling for violence, death and destruction should have been charged for inciting violence and harm. Even when these same rabid animals physically attack peaceful protestors, the authorities do everything to ignore it. We have been seeing the same refusal to apply the rule of law for many years with Native protestors, including those who assault citizens living in the area. An ancient sage once said that the more laws, the more corrupt the government. That still applies.

Hear, hear! Extremely well said, Alain.

very true, but how can we get the political class to start using the tools they have already? there seems to be a general move to import civil strife into Canada and exacerbate that which is already here as in the indian activism/terrorism.

        • WalterBannon

only by holding a civil war

      • James Hamilton

The government, does not want to curb terrorism their aim is to create submissive citizens. Before terrorism the role was played by criminals & gangs, which were let loose to scare us so that govt. could bring more laws & legislations while criminals still worked with almost impunity, because those rules, laws & legislations took away our power to defend ourselves.

In a war you first define your enemy & its ideology, which works as its main source of power. But here we are fighting a blind war with no idea who our enemies are & from where they’re acquiring its power. All the while letting them strengthen their positions in our own homes. We let them infiltrate the agencies which should supposedly be working to save us from them.

Due to political correctness or sheer deception on part of our politicians we are afraid to name our enemies, who at every occasion has made themselves and their ideology obvious. Their ideology, source of power, is like a poisonous gas which has spread & creept into our lungs.

Unfortunately I do not believe that CSEC, CSIS, or the RCMP have the best interests of law-abiding Canadians at heart. I am reasonably certain that any law-abiding citizen that is critical and outspoken of let’s say ‘High River’ or a specific corruption of a police service like , OPP -Caledon, or i.e. GSPS

… will be subjected or is being subjected to ‘disruptions’, surveillance (with a view to blackmail) and possibly other violations of personal security .

    • This blog will be a target. I feel almost certain of it.

      • Stronger Than Dirt

I am fairly certain that it has been for some time and could say more but won’t.

      • James Hamilton

I have a feeling it’s already being watched for quite a while now.

        • Exile1981

Are you confessing James? – joking

I was nice to the two rcmp who had my office under observation back over a decade ago. I went to the store picked up a pizza and two – liter bottles of coke and walked up to the van and delivered it to them. Another time when the van got stock in a snow drift I went out and helped get it unstuck. After those two incidents (only a couple days apart) I asked them why they where watching my new office/shop building.

Seems someone had reported us during construction (which was just about over at this time) because they thought we had an “excessive” sized electrical service and a suspicious air exchange system. I invited them in to see the lathes and electrically actuated presses and the welding machines which when operational generate enough fumes that you need to have said air moving system.

After that they told me that they had though I was building a grow op and where watching me to see if it was true.

They could have been sneakier – Our office was close enough that I could see the local rcmp detachment
from from my office window and at night they parked the van in the rcmp
parking lot and at 8:15 each morning the two guys came out the staff
side door got in the van and then drove a block and parked across the
street in the no parking area in front of the fire station and sat there
all day. Occasionally one of them would get out and walk back to the RCMP station I assume to pee or something.A white minivan while it blended in with the snow was not really unnoticeable.

So how much $$ did they waist sitting there for a couple of weeks rather than just coming up and asking to see the building? Or since we had a sign out front advertising a need for welders and machinists maybe they could have used that as an indication of what we were doing, or they could have waited till our open house and then gotten a public tour.

No in all fairness they were very junior RCMP and they were part of the training division so I suspect this was more of a training experience than an actual police work but…

          Meany.
          You spoiled their soft gig.

          • Exile1981

            sorry

        • Censored_often

Did you provide them any free marijuana? *wink*

        • disqus_W6sfZCiOd8

You’re right that’s what it will be like. We’ll all be spying on one another. Jeepers murphy! Don’t we have anything to say about the matter?!!!!!

    • James Hamilton

CSEC, CSIS, RCMP; all these organisations have already been deeply infiltrated by islamists. RCMP has a huge ‘muslim’ recruitment drive going on in several mosques right now.

      • disqus_W6sfZCiOd8

Yep, if that’s the case BCF’s blog will be either shut down or suppressed in some way.

        • WalterBannon

          eventually…

  • James Hamilton

These Band-Aid measures aren’t going to cure the cancer.
What we need to counter terrorism threat in Canada is curb mohammedan immigration. Stop importing more of these parasites & the ones already here, sucking our blood, should be given a choice to either denounce islam or emigrate to any islamic country of their choice.
Start with closing down each & every mosque & islamic center operating on Canadian soil, they are nothing more than terrorist recruitment & training centers operating under the garb of religion.
Unless we get rid of mohammedans & islam from our country the threat of terrorism could never be erased.

    • Stronger Than Dirt

Exactly. Am I on the ‘list’ now for upvoting you ?
