Ice cream man linked to UN deaths arrested in Lebanon

More than three decades after two Irish soldiers were killed on a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, the man accused in their deaths – a Dearborn ice cream man with a wife and three daughters ­- has returned to the alleged scene of the crime.

Mahmoud Bazzi, 72, was deported to Lebanon Thursday and immediately arrested upon his arrival there. His arrest came five months after an immigration judge in Detroit ordered him deported for entering the U.S. with a fake passport more than 20 years ago.
