Turkey expects US to extradite Fethullah Gulen

Turkey expects the U.S. to extradite U.S.-based preacher Fethullah Gulen if Ankara filed a request, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said Wednesday.

Gulen is accused of trying to topple the Turkish government.

“Turkey expects the U.S. to honor bilateral agreements and extradite Gulen,” Bozdag told.

“As two allies, the U.S. and Turkey are cooperating in many fields, including mutual legal assistance. I believe they will respond positively if Turkey decides to extend a request for Gulen’s extradition,” he said.

“Of course, it is at their discretion. However, there are binding legal agreements, and we have the right to expect the U.S. to abide by those agreements just like Turkey does,” the minister said.

Pennsylvania-based preacher’s so-called Gulen movement is accused of forming a criminal gang within Turkey’s key institutions, including the judiciary and the police, in an attempt to undermine the Turkish government…

I don’t care whether or not Erdogan gets hold of Gulen, yet it would be a bad precedent to extradite him, since there is no proof. It is an internal vendetta between Gulen and Erdogan.

Obuttwipe will fall all over himself to accommodate the muzz in turkey.

I haven’t seen the extradition agreement, but there is usually an exemption for political offenses. If he is able to, Gulen would be well advised to move to Canada, or even better, Switzerland.

Switzerland wants turkey in the eu so they would hand him over as well.

I will be fascinating to see how Turkey pressures the EU to let them join at the same time they are reverting to an Islamic state that executes people.

Lol Turkey claiming to be allies. That’s rich.

And don’t we have a word in the west for trying to topple governments: Democracy?

Yes, but they call that ‘blasphemy’. When you are ‘god’s political party’, you don’t have to be tolerant or just.

But what about the whales at marineland, isn’t that more important according to the Toronto Star. Besides, Haroooooon at the Star today says the cause of terrorism is simply because of the West’s war on the religion of peace.

Emperor Barry no doubt wants isis to be severely chastised and brought to heel for constantly dissing and scamming him. Since turkey is their main on the ground facilitator, that presents quite a few problems for erdog. Handing over Gulen would probably be about #505 on EB’s todo list until his emotional needs are met.
