This weekend the Globe published a gushing and deceitful advertorial on Islam: Far from ‘outsiders,’ Europe and Islam have long been intertwined by H.A. Hellyer
It begins with the BIG LIE of the moment, actively being spread by Islamists and their useful idiots hoping to deny the existence of Europe’s No Go Zones.
“In the wake of the most recent attacks in Paris, the airwaves have been full of myths about Muslim communities in Europe. After the commentator Steve Emerson declared on Fox News that the English city of Birmingham had become a “no-go zone” for non-Muslims, he was roundly denounced by figures across the political spectrum. Even the British Prime Minister himself, David Cameron, used uncharacteristically harsh language to describe the regular Fox News guest as “clearly, a complete idiot.” The Fox network finally issued an abject apology for perpetuating this urban myth.”
This lie has been soundly debunked by many, here’s one such effort by Lawrence Solomon: Paris’s Muslim ‘no-go’ zones are no joke
Now why would the Globe publish such a piece of Islamist tripe and pass it off as an informed opinion piece?
Why because it’s author works for a respected “Think Tank” . In this case H.A. Hellyer of the Brookings Institution.
Yes that Brookings institution, the one funded by Qatar, the terror funding state.
“Some of this funding has been given clandestinely, with think tanks taking money under the table while benefiting from a moral image of disinterestedness. In the most prominently egregious example, the government of Qatar, as the NYT reported, “funneled hundreds of millions to Hamas-led Gaza and encouraged its rocket and tunnel assault on Israel,” also signed a four-year $14.8 million deal in 2013 to fund the Brookings Institution where Martin Indyk serves as vice president and director of the Foreign Policy Program. Indyk worked for Secretary of State John Kerry from July 2013 to June 2014 as special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. As someone on the same payroll as is Israel’s mortal enemy, how could Indyk be expected to act in a neutral way?”
Qatar has come under increasing scrutiny for having funded among other Groups, ISIS.
The Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, will arrive in Britain amid a growing furore over his country’s alleged links to the financing of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil) and al-Qaeda
Now Paris’ Mayor Hidalgo has her own reasons to prevent the City of Light’s reputation from being dimmed, after all tourism is not well served by armed soldiers guarding Le Knick Knack shoppes. Les Infidels get jumpy and spend le less.
But what could Qatar’s interest’s be beyond the usual 24/7 stream of Islamist Propaganda we’ve grown used to?
Couldn’t be an effort to protect it’s French real estate investments could it? You know, those heavily tourist reliant real estate investments?
Special Report: In France, a tax-free property empire
Reuters) – The Champs-Elysees lures millions of tourists every year to enjoy shopping at the Elysees 26 mall, poker at the Aviation Club, plush cars and futuristic architecture in the Citroen showroom, or feather-clad showgirls at the Lido cabaret.
But for all their Parisian charisma, none of these attractions are French-owned. They belong to the royal family of Qatar, a resource-rich emirate about 3,000 miles away.
Nah. Couldn’t be.
Now didn’t the Globe recently come under fire for publishing Amanda Lang’s attempted whitewash of the Temporary Foreign Worker’s scandal? You know, the CBC’s Amanda Lang, the one with the Royal Bank Boyfriend.
