Melbourne Islamic State fighter Mahmoud Abdullatif ‘killed in Syria’

A FORMER Melbourne man has reportedly become the latest Australian Islamic State fighter to be killed in Syria, with his wife and another member of the terror group posting claims of his death overnight.

Mahmoud Abdullatif, who The Australian previously revealed had joined the conflict in the second half of last year, is claimed to have been killed over the weekend.

The claims have been repeated by respected terror expert Charles Lister, a visiting fellow of the Brookings and Doha Center, who named Abdullatif in a Tweet…
