Where is the diversity #CharlieHebdo

Fdesouche has an interesting series of tweets from various of the Je Suis Charlie rallies that took place across France.

He notes a serious lack of diversity even in Muslim dominated cities.

“It is hard to imagine that # Roubaix is predominantly Muslim when you see the protesters face # CharlieHebdo”

Islamic Sabbath…or maybe there was a large Muslim demo across town…or the Muslims were cowering in the face of the massive, Islamophobic backlash consuming France at the moment.

Or maybe they knew they were not wanted.

Maybe the Muslims will come out in force at the planned ‘Solidarity March’ in Paris that CNN can’t seem to shut up about?

Given that CNN is also reporting security will be high for the ‘Solidarity March’, the phrase ‘maybe the Muslims will come out in force’ may not be in good taste.

    My bad!

  • FYI – FDeSouche means Français de souche, i.e. ethnic French, the original layer of French.

    Haji doesn’t #CharlieHebdo either.

See the first comment to this excellent piece in Macleans for why there are no Muslims in this rally. I believe this stupid bint would be classed as a Thoughtful Moderate Muslim by the chatterati. There is a great response to it, though.

My first thought when I read the “thoughtful muslim’s” post was “wow, she really doesn’t get freedom.” Like, honestly, doesn’t understand the concept. Then later I had (my version of a flash of insight – more like a dim candle!): Christianity and Judaism teach that each and every human has complete freedom of choice (in moral/ethical matters). The word “freedom” has deep unconscious – and *positive* – connotations for us. But islam has no such conception of individual freedom. Heck, the name means submission, kind of the opposite of freedom . I wonder if, on the unconscious levels even, a typical muslim does not only have a neutral view of freedom, but possibly a negative one, and may not even be able to explain *why* they dislike the idea.
No wonder they can’t (in general) blend into our societies.

Glad we have some pretty brilliant people in this country like commentator Matt Coffey and people on this blog. That gives many of us hope.
      Thanks for this.

If the Turks caught this guy it will be interesting to see whether they protect him or had him over to the French. My money in betting they don’t hand him over.

The Muslims would never show support for a newspaper. They’re too busy playing the victim.

Diversity in France & much of Europe has equalled to Islamization making it the cause of the problem not the solution. The less diversity & more indigenously culturally homogeneous the better!

The demonstrators have accomplished what the authorities have feared. They penetrated the no-go zones.

  • Aaahh, diversity. Where would one be without it?
