NYT exec editor takes criticism ‘like a 13 year old,’ calls professor an ‘a**hole’

USC j-school associate professor Marc Cooper recently posed a question to Dean Baquet, executive editor for The New York Times (show above, a Facebook post).

But Baquet didn’t care much for the question.

    • Good one.

I admit, I kinda stole it from Iowahawk (AKA: David Burge).

The NYT is a zombie brand.
Probably has something to do with excessive consumption of rec pharma by its “intellectual giants” who occupy the towering heights.

    • It is a Tower of Babel certainly.

And oh so much ‘respected’ by the progressive crowd

      • David Murrell

Agreed. And I hate it when “journalists” from our media cartel use terms like “respected”, or “the newspaper of record” when referring to the wretched, awful New York Times. It is a biased, anti-Semitic, Islamist-supporting rag.

And I like it when independent-minded people, like the USC journalism prof, attack the NYT and expose their gutter journalistic standards. The more exposure like this, the better.

terms like “respected”, or “the newspaper of record”

Language of the self celebratory ‘in crowd’.
          It’s all they got!

    I knew that.

The job of the NYT is to tell the PTB what they want to hear and suggest how they might spend the money they’ve fiddled out of people who have to work for a living—mansions, exotic vacations, tiresome novels, tiresome films and plays, downright hideous “art.” It’s an advertiser, not a news source.

The NYT bought the Boston Globe for $ 1.1 billion in 1993 and sold it for $ 70 million in 2013. And to make the deal sweeter, the Times retained the Globe’s pension liabilities of $ 100 million plus.

    Buy high, sell low!

We’d be better off taking advice from the urine-soaked wino on the corner.

ALL media outlets are run by petulant, childish, self-grandiose assholes. I know, I used to be employed in.

  • Norman_In_New_York

It’s been decades since I bought the Times, and even then it was only the Sunday edition for its magazine with the crossword puzzles.

    • David Murrell

There should be an organized boycott movement against the Jew-hating NYT.

  • MRHapla

Yeah,, it’s not like the cartoons were “news” or anything,, God forbid!
