Harper Says Government to Soon Table Anti-terrorism Arrest Bill

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has announced in response to the Paris shooting that the Conservative government will table a fresh bill providing new arrest powers aimed at eliminating terrorist threats soon after Parliament resumes in late January. Prior to the announcement, Harper expressed solidarity with France after 12 people were shot dead in an attack on the Paris office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

I wonder what Imtiaz Ahmed has to say about the above photo?

    • Why does a Religion of Peace need to be protected from Cartoons if it isn’t violent?

Unfortunately, Prime Minister Harper is trying to lock the stable door after the horses have trotted away.

      Cause the problem
then impose Dracaion laws to protect the victims from the problem you caused

      classic Orwell

How about he just cuts off this problem at the source and stop the Middle Eastern followers of this goat rodeo of a faux religion from entering our country in the first place.

Perhaps it would be more sensible to immediately bar all “muslim refugee applicants from the middle east ” who have zero evidence to offer in the way of past pro democracy activity putting them in danger. That should free up a lot more anti terror intel resources than pushing pieces of paper through parliament.
A bill to requisition a dozen bankrupt very remote Northern Ontario lumber camps for conversion to leftists/politicians/muslim terrorists internment facilities would also probably meet with general approval as well.

Charles Krauthammer has it exactly right – The Third Stage Has Begun.

Clearly, our government’s response to Moslem terrorism is tepid? At a minimum, it will take a more pragmatic approach domestically to disrupt sleeper cells within the country and it wll take a far bolder, coordinated foreign policy to starve countries that support terrorism of markets and monies. No options should be off the table – none.

The only question that needs to be answered is, “Does the political leadership in Canada have the will to defend life and liberty?”

    • cmh

yes, the west is in the 3rd stage now.

I wish I could have something good to say about the way harper is handling this but i dont. this will only curtail our freedoms and overtax our security systems. it will do nothing to prevent the scourge of the master military strategy laid out in the koran. if anything, it will only slow the onslaught of jihad.

When muslims domestic or foreign, begin to truly fear your actions, real or potential, your have only managed the first baby step to defeating them. The leftists know this, that is why they are so protective of their imported society wrecking crews.

Yeah… a bill, and another batch of beheaders welcomed in Canada.
But all those Canadians who were never consulted agreed that more scum is what we need!

Can’t wait to apply these laws on The Bible and those who promote it(you really think there’s absolutely nothing in the bible that can be seen as promoting terrorism?). Thanks guys!
