Afghanistan rally hails #CharlieHebdo attackers as ‘heroes’

(Reuters) – Hundreds in southern Afghanistan rallied to praise the killing of 12 people at the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, calling the two gunmen “heroes” who meted out punishment for cartoons disrespectful to Islam’s prophet, officials said Saturday.

The demonstrators also protested President Ashraf Ghani’s swift condemnation of the bloody attack on the satirical newspaper, according to the officials in Uruzgan province.

The rally came after worshippers left Friday prayers at a local mosque in Chora district and swelled to several hundred people, said Chora police chief Abdul Qawi.

“The protesters were calling the attackers heroes and were shouting that those who had mocked the Prophet Mohammad were punished,” Qawi said…

  • Boy I’m sure glad to see we helped civilize them.

All they needed was for their little girls to go to school, and then the rainbows and dancing unicorns would appear!

Yes, after over a decade of our military fighting a losing war battle in that country, I guess we just didn’t quite reach everyone with the “winning hearts and minds campaign.” It seems to have been much more successful in Iraq though likely due to $trillions more being spent in that area. /sarc

It didnt work that, their brain is way behind centuries ago, where terrorism was and still part of their religion pray.

I’d just give them the big finger, tell them “Fuck you”, and then leave the next day to stew in their own juices. If any terrorist camps pop up again, then use them as a testing facility for newer and improved weaponry. Make the whole country one big free fire zone for airpower testing.

We know where these mosques are. We have drones and planes in the area. After these sermons (or during preferably) where this crap is praised and celebrated, we blow up the fucking building with the people in it or otherwise. If they want to celebrate massacres we can give them another and another. If we are going to fight these bastards, we might as well win.

Or just nuke the whole damn country.

As Kathy would say, there is no reason Kabul wasn’t radioactive by 1pm on Sept 11 2001.

And to think of all the Western lives wasted in that shithole. smh

Muslims around the world pray for destruction of the infidels, and when a terror attacked happens they are so happy about it,the West will eradicate them anywhere, even if they are in their caves.
